AWE Performance Intercooler kit

The Porsche 991 AWE intercooler kit features thick wall 6-ply silicone hoses with gentle curves to prevent bursting under pressure. They are attached to the factory intake and turbos by stainless steel high force t-bolt clamps, and a molded lip is integrated where the hoses meet the turbos to duplicate the factory locking mechanism. Further, our hoses use a Nomex braiding, instead of more common polyester, for superior strength. The very best materials and industry-leading engineering separate this kit from all others on the market.

Compared to the 991’s stock intercoolers, the AWE Performance Intercoolers’ cores are 17% larger (523 cubic inches vs 448 cubic inches). In contrast to the stock cores, Porsche 991 AWE intercoolers are a high flow bar and plate style, and are built to our charge row and fin count specifications. These specifications result in 20% reduced air temperatures and 50% improved pressure resistance through the cores. These lowered air temperatures and freer flow allowed the AWE Porsche 991 Turbo S to achieve dyno-verified max gains of 26 HP and 21 ft-lbs of torque at the crank when used with the AWE Tuning 991 Turbo Performance Exhaust and S-FLO Carbon Intake, and G.I.A.C Stage 2 software, translating to almost a full second reduction in 60-130mph acceleration times.

Data abounds below. R&D for the Porsche 991TT Intercooler Kit included dynamometer testing (both wheel and crank), Intake Air Temperature (IAT) testing, Pressure Drop testing and Acceleration testing. These results were derived from testing conducted on our Mustang MD-500-SE AWD dyno.

The AWE No CEL (Check Engine Light) Guarantee is noted on certain AWE products, and offers peace of mind against the appearance of Check Engine Lights when products are installed properly and used as intended, on vehicles with no additional modifications, with the exception of other AWE products intended to work with the product in question.

Warranty

The AWE Carbon Fiber Warranty on select products protects against manufacturer defects.  Manufacturer defect is defined as any characteristic of the product which hinders its usability for the purpose for which it was designed and manufactured. The warranty against manufacturer defects doesn’t cover any cosmetic changes, or normal use wear and tear, or improper installation. All warranties cease at a product’s discontinuance. Under heat, carbon fiber may mature to present a gold hue. This coloration is covered under the one-year warranty, and if deemed appropriate at the sole discretion of AWE, may be replaced one time if the carbon fiber product is within the one-year window from purchase. Replacement for coloration from heat does not reset the factory one year warranty.

One year from the date of new product purchase (proof of purchase required).
